Uncle Vic Announces Penny Pincher Promotion For Black Friday and Cyber Monday
Gadgets — By David Klein on November 27, 2009 at 5:50 amUncleVic.com, a discount consumer electronics online retailer, announced plans for its Black Friday promotional plans today. The company sells various popular brand name consumer electronics and gaming products, video games & accessories, LCD monitors, printers, flatscreen TVs, digital picture frames, laptops, PC’s and other electronics products and accessories.
For Black Friday (11/27/2009) and Cyber Monday (11/30/09), UncleVic.com will be selling dozens of various products for one penny ( $0.01 plus shipping) as part of its Penny Pincher Promotion. In addition, UncleVic.com will post other heavily discounted products on its Black Friday Landing page.
“We’re stoked about Black-Friday this year,” says Jim Wendt, Marketing Manager at UncleVic.com. “We launched last year right before Black Friday so this is sort of like Uncle Vic’s huge 1st birthday party. All day throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Vic’s Picks special offers for one cent will appear on our home page randomly. First come first served. We had a great first year so we wanted to give back to our customers and generate some buzz”.
UncleVic.com will also have special deals posted on its Black Friday landing page. “We are directing customers to http://www.UncleVic.com/BlackFriday on November 27th and 30th where we will post some of our best offers of the year” according to Wendt.
Uncle Vic will be donating to charity one dollar for every transaction on Black Friday. The company has selected 6 charities: Boys and Girls Clubs of America; PETA; CHOC; American Red Cross; Make-A-Wish Foundation; and Toys for Tots. The company will donate proceeds according to the results of its Facebook Fan Page Poll where Uncle Vic’s friends will determine the percentage of donations each charity will receive. Uncle Vic’s Fan Page can be found at http://www.facebook.com/UncleVicDeals.
“I’m a big believer in giving back”, says Vikas Vanjani, the company’s CEO and namesake founder. “We’re interested in seeing how our customers decide how we allocate the donations”.
To help promote Uncle Vic’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, the company also launched a YouTube video which can be accessed at http://www.DontTellEverybody.com and the company’s You Tube channel page: http://www.youtube.com/unclevicdeals. “The video plays on our theme of phenomenal deals but limited inventory,” says Wendt. “Our deals tend to sell out quickly so we have to constantly source new stuff for our customers. The video project was lot of fun to produce. We hope it shares our value of a quality discount gaming and electronics retailer creatively.”
