The SmartCap Might Save Your Life One Day

This new SmartCap, originally designed for miners, is equipped with sensors inside the cap that monitors a driver’s brain waves, and then lets you know via a screen or your cellphone that you’re too tired to drive and that you should rest. These SmartCaps have reduced the amount of miner fatalities from 40 in 2007 to 27 in 2008, and its creator hopes that one day we’ll all have to wear a SmartCap (not likely) before we take the wheel.
