The mPower Emergency Illuminator (designed by Porsche Design Studio) is an intense high performance LED flashlight that features a new battery technology where one tube holds two CR123 batteries, while the other stores a Lithium Reserve Battery. The batteries have a shelf life of at least 20 years.

“The mPower Reserve Battery offers an unprecedented minimum shelf life of 20 years and has an immediate activation to full power. Through an intricate battery design, mPhase developed a way to eliminate power dissipation before initial activation.”

The mPower Emergency Illuminator will also have a USB connection built into it to charge your cellphone, and it’ll cost around $250 when it’s released in March 2010.
